A website for survivors of a suicide attempt
“The epic story of your tomorrow can’t
be written if it ends today”
This website focuses on the true survivors of suicide
the people who have survived a suicide attempt. It seeks to acknowledge your pain and suffering, plus provide you with information and resources in one, easily accessible place. I am also a suicide attempt survivor and these resources are helping me on my journey of recovery.
There is a silver lining
Over 65,000 Australians make a suicide attempt each year, with 3,144 taking their lives in 2021.
To loose even one life to suicide is a tragedy. However, in these sad numbers, there is a silver lining. Around 95% of people who attempt suicide survive.
Most attempt survivors go on to live a very happy and fulfilling life.
Yes, there will be tough days ahead where you will experience pain and despair. But please hang in there; like most survivors your future could be filled with bliss and happiness.
This website seeks to encourage and empower you, a suicide attempt survivor, by providing useful information and resources to help you on your journey of recovery.
I wish you success on your way back. Remember, suicide is not the only option. There is hope, love and happiness ahead. Please stay and give it a go.
